A Block with a Name

It looks like this block of maple has my name on it… better turn it into a citole chop chop!

The Citole is a medieval plucked instrument with a number of interesting features; like the rebec it’s a unibody design, and much like it (and other bowed instruments) it has a floating tail piece. Besides these characteristics, the range of instrument designs that carry the name “Citole” is very, very large but I’m following Paul Butler‘s design (as I did with the rebec).
